The date, the ballot and the plan

How the estimate is made

The FDIS ballot runs eight weeks from 21 September 2026. We calculate a close on 16 November 2026. After a successful ballot the document moves to 50.60, then 60.00 and 60.60 for publication. ISO has recorded none of those three dates. The planning date is 120 days from the date this record was scoped.

An estimate is not a deadline

A date on a slide becomes a deadline in a project plan. Keep the word estimate next to it. If you need a date for a contract, use the contract's term or the regulator's date, not this page. The only confirmed dates here are the stage dates in the table above.

The dated plan

The six actions below are offsets from the estimate. They are the same actions the free check returns, filtered to the gaps your answers expose. The kit carries them as editable rows with an owner and a status column. The plan creates no legal deadline.

What would change the date

  • A recorded 50.60 date after the ballot closes.
  • A move to 60.00 or 60.60, which would be the first real publication signal.
  • A ballot result other than approval, which would send the draft back for further work.
  • A corrigendum or a revised edition after publication.
  • A national adoption with its own publication date in your market.

Every one of those is a watch trigger. What the watch sends.
