An email when the record changes, not a newsletter
The watch exists because the document is not finished. The stage, the contents, the identifiers and the guidance can all move. Each change is checked against the record, and you get the diff in plain words with the source link.
What triggers an email
| Trigger | What the email says |
|---|---|
| A stage date is recorded | Which stage, the date, and whether the estimated publication date moves. |
| The public contents change | The added, removed or renamed clause or annex, and which unit pages change. |
| The published text lands | The clause-level diff against the DIS preview, with every reading marked as now confirmed or corrected. |
| A corrigendum or amendment appears | The affected clauses and the evidence rows that need a new version. |
| A national adoption appears | The market, the national body and any added preface or annex. |
| A related part moves | Which part, its new stage, and whether the normative reference is affected. |
What it never sends
- No newsletter, no product announcement, no conference invitation.
- No marketing list and no sharing of your address.
- No "your subscription is expiring" sequence. Stripe handles billing.
- No email when nothing has changed. A quiet month is a quiet month.
How the check works
The record is stored as one JSON file with a source pointer on every field. A refresh script re-reads the ISO catalogue page and the public preview, compares them with the stored snapshot and exits non-zero on any change. A human reviews the diff, updates the record and the change date, and the watch sends the diff. The same job runs whether or not anyone has bought the watch; the watch decides who receives it.
What it costs and how to stop
USD 49 a month, charged by Stripe. Cancel from the receipt or the customer portal link in any watch email. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the free record available. Start the watch.
The watch is a change notification, not a legal or compliance monitoring service. It does not tell you whether a change applies to your organisation; it tells you what changed and where to look.
